CHESTER, EDDIE 
Eddie Chester, 54, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2003, at West Jefferson Medical
Center. He is survived by two daughters, Rochelle Chester and Valerie Wynn,
both of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be today at Richardson Funeral Home,
Hammond, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Mack Hurst will conduct the funeral
Saturday at 11 a.m. at Saint James AME Church, Hammond. Burial will be in
Holly Gardens Cemetery.

CHESTER, HILDA ROSS 
Independence - Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 9 at Zion Travelers
Missionary Baptist Church for Hilda Ross Chester. The 84-year-old native of
Tangipahoa died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Lallie Kemp Medical Center,
Independence. Survivors include three sons, Ray Lee Chester of
Independence, Benny Chester Jr. of Hammond and Edward Chester of Chicago;
four daughters, Shirley Watkins and Edna Ross, both of Independence, Betty
Louise Williams of Hammond and Patricia Boykins of Covington; 27 grand-
children, 30 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Her
parents, Ivy Ross and Fannie Ross; her husband, Benny Chester Sr.; and five
sisters and five brothers, all preceded her in death. The Rev. Wilbard
Jones will conduct the funeral Saturday at the church at 11 a.m. Burial
will follow in Durbin Cemetery, Independence. Richardson Funeral Home,
Amite, is in charge.

CHESTER, KARISSA SHANTEL 
Karissa Shantel Chester, 10, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at North Oaks
Medical Center, Hammond, in an accident. She is survived by her parents,
Byron Randolph and Michelle Chester; two sisters, Calisha Chester and
Krystale Cutno; and one brother, Christopher Johnson, all of Hammond.
Visitation will Saturday at Redemption Christian Center, Hammond, from 
9 a.m. until the funeral at 11. Burial will be in Durbin Cemetery. N.A.
James Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

CHESTER, RAY LEE
Ray Lee Chester, 62, native and resident of Independence, passed away at 
St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA on Wednesday, September 7th.
Visitation will take place at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church, 
165 Hickory Road, Independence, on Friday, September 16th from 5 until 
8 p.m.  Religious Services will be held at Zion Travelers Missionary 
Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 17th at 11 a.m. with Dr. Joshua Brown
