Mr. Floyd "Rod Randell" Charles Childs Jr., 72-years-old of Angie, Louisiana, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in Hammond. He was born Wednesday, May 23, 1934 in Wilda, Louisiana, son of the late Floyd Charles and Bertha Barnhart Childs Sr. Surviving are his three daughters, Patricia Kennedy, Marie and Tammy Childs; three sons, Floyd Charles III, David and Daniel Childs; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lovey, Lloyd, and Phillip Childs; four sisters, Earline McDaniel, Marie White, Vera Lloyd, Johnnie Pauline Dowell. Friends will be received Friday, January 19, 2007 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Alexandria from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Services will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Alexandria, Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hemphill Star Cemetery, Wilda, Louisiana.
