He was 52, a resident of Hammond and a native of Nashville, Tenn. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Visiting at Jerusalem Baptist Church from noon until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Stacey Morgan. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Margaret Falgoust Clifton, Hammond; two daughters, Amy Cathron and Jean Elizabeth Clifton, both of Hammond; mother, Wilma Hollis Clifton, Ponchatoula; and a brother, Robert Samuel Clifton, Slidell. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lee Clifton. He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.
