CLOUATE, BARBARA JEAN CHAMBERS 
Barbara Jean Chambers Clouate, a resident of Hahnville, died on Sunday,
Dec. 25, 2005, in Loranger. She was 62, born on Sunday, April 11, 1943, in
Amite, daughter of Joyce Cooper Chambers and the late Leslie Thomas
Chambers. A longtime resident of Hahnville, she retired after 32 years of
teaching with the St. Charles Parish school system. She coached basketball
and softball and was a dance team and cheerleader sponsor. Surviving are
her husband, Dennis J. Clouate; daughter, Leslie C. Dempster; brother,
Ronald C. Chambers; grandson, Blake Dempster; and two granddaughters,
Breanna and Leighton Marie Dempster. She was preceded in death by daughter,
Jodi Lynn Clouate; son, Mark Clouate; sister, Linda C. Wyckoff; and
brother, Russell "Rusty" Chambers. Friends will be received at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 
9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Religious service at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in
Independence on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. with the Very Rev. Paul A.
McDuffie, V.F., officiating. Interment in the Cooper Cemetery of the Sacred
Heart, Loranger. Contributions may be made to the Annie Cooper Memorial
