COATS, HILDA PINION 
Ponchatoula - Hilda Pinion Coats, 59, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at her
home. She was a native of Bear Island and a member of Millville Baptist
Church, Ponchatoula. She is survived by her mother, Alice Pinion Lewis of
Springfield; three sons, James Coats of Hammond, Steven Craig Coats of
Ponchatoula and Jason Harold Coats of Independence; two sisters, Margaret
Abels of Springfield and Jeanette Lewis of Denham Springs; one brother,
Burlin Thomas Pinion of Springfield; and three grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Coats; her father, Alvin
Joseph Pinion; and one brother, James Kenneth Pinion. Visitation will be
Wednesday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 
10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 to 9:45 a.m. The funeral will be held at 
10 a.m. at Millville Baptist Church, Ponchatoula, and burial will be in
Carter Cemetery, Springfield.

COATS, ROBERT CLIFFORD JR.
Denham Springs -- Robert Clifford Coats Jr., 48, died Saturday, Oct. 9,
2004, at Summit Hospital, Baton Rouge.  A native of Baton Rouge, he is
survived by his wife, Sherrie Coats of Denham Springs; three daughters,
Belinda Coats of California, Robin and Rebecca Coats, both of Denham
Springs; and two brothers, Kenneth Coats of Gonzales and Timmy Coats of
Denham Springs.  His parents, Robert Clifford Coats Sr. and Yvonne
McAllister Coats, preceded him in death.  Visitation will be Wednesday at
Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 11.
Burial will be at Carter Cemetery, Springfield.

COATS, STEVEN CRAIG 
Steven Craig Coats, 41 and a resident of Ponchatoula, died Thursday, Jan.
19, 2006, at his home. Steven was a loving and devoted husband, father,
brother and friend to many. He was born on Saturday, Aug. 8, 1964, in
Hammond. He worked as a dispatcher for the Hammond Fire Department for 17
years. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Decker Coats of Ponchatoula;
son, Caleb Steven Coats, Ponchatoula; two daughters, Alyssa Ann Coats and
Kayleigh Mae Coats, both of Ponchatoula; two brothers, Jimmy Coats, Hammond
and Jason Coats, Lafayette; grandmother, Alice Lewis, Springfield; and
numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James
Coats and Hilda Mae Pinion Coats; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Alice
Coats; and maternal grandfather, Alvin Pinion. Friends will be received at
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, on Saturday, Jan. 21, from
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan. 22, from 8 a.m.
until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Stanley Day.

COATS, SUSIE S.
Susie S. Coats, 68, of Pumpkin Center, died Tuesday, December 28, 1948.
Interment was in Jerusalem Cemetery.  She is survived by four sisters,
Mrs. Chatman of Wisner, Mrs. Cloy of Sicily Island, Mrs. Bird of Franklin
County, Miss. and Mrs. S. L. Wilson of Pumpkin Center; two brothers, 
George S. Bowman of Hammond and J. W. Bowman of Jackson, Miss.
