COCHENNIC, RICHARD MARK
Richard Mark Cochennic, age 63, died on March 21, 2010 at University
Hospital in New Orleans. He was a native of New Orleans; a resident of
Pumpkin Center; was retired from Crapanzano Lumber Company in Hammond
having worked as Operations Manager; and was a US Navy veteran of Viet Nam.
His survivors include his wife of 37 years, Nona Evonne Cochennic, 4
children, Cassie Evonne Gonzales, Boyd Allen Cochennic, Chad Duane
Cochennic and Jeri Leann Barrett; 10 grandchildren, Alexis, Lisa, John,
Lupe, Jackie, Shanice, Samantha, Jason, Monica and Justin. He is also
survived by his father, Roy J. Cochennic; brother, Gerald F. Cochennic; and
3 sisters, Catherine Wilson, Susan Bonner, and Cindy Banta.  He was
preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Zerangue Cochennic and brother, Steve
Cochennic. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at
Geisler Funeral Home of Albany on Wednesday, March 24 from 6 until 9 pm and
on Thursday after 8:30 am until the religious service at 12 noon. Interment
will follow.
