Mrs. Cockerham retired from Hammond State School and was a member of Nesom Memorial Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and John Broussard; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Sandra Cockerham, Jonnie and Jerrie Cockerham; daughter-in-law, JoAnna Cockerham; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; half sister and her husband, Billie and Carter Williams; and half brother, McGuffy Fife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonnie J. Cockerham; son, Alfred Cockerham; parents, Samuel Lee and Mae Aline T. Stephenson; three brothers, two sisters, two half brothers and a half sister. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Wednesday, March 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, March 15, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
