McKneely Funeral Home of Amite and Kentwood, Inc.

COGAN, DENNIS, SR.
A resident of Kentwood, died at 11:58 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 
Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite. He was born December 28, 1947 in Puttman, 
CT and was 65 years of age. He was a loving father, grandfather and great 
grandfather and a member of First Baptist Church in Kentwood. Survived by 
companion, Linda Cogan; 2 daughters, Lynette Cogan Wall and Denise Cogan-
Blackmon; 1 son, Rusty Cogan; 7 grandchildren, Johnathan, Kelsey and Kolby 
Wall, Brayden, Emily and Caitlynn Blackmon and Alexa Cogan; 2 great 
grandchildren, Dayston and Aiden Wall; 1 sister, Candy Cogan and numerous 
nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Joyce 
Cogan and brother, Robert Cogan. A private family service will be held at a 
later date. McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, in charge of arrangements.
