Genevieve came to Baton Rouge to study at the LSU School of Music where she earned her master's degree in organ. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega and served as president two years. Following her marriage to her major professor, they traveled to Paris where Frank studied under the leading organist in the world, Marcel DuprŽ, and she studied under the blind organist at Notre Dame Cathedral, Louis ViŽrne. They returned to Baton Rouge where Genevieve served as organist and choir master at Trinity Episcopal Church for 40 years and at Temple B'nai Israel for 50 years. She was an active member of the American Guild of Organists, serving as Dean several times, and the Philharmonic Club.
