Memorial services will be held at Brookhaven Baptist Church in Natalbany on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 3 p.m. All family and friends are invited to cherish her memory. She was a native of Hammond. She was a loving mother, sister and friend to many. She will missed greatly by her loved one. She loved to go fishing and will be missed by her brothers and sisters on their fishing trips. West. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 1/21/2003 CONNER, LILLIAN SKEAHAN Lillian Skeahan Conner, the first female police sergeant in Tangipahoa Parish, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Hammond. She was 95. A native and resident of Hammond, she had retired at the rank of sergeant after serving 25 years with the Hammond Police Department. Survivors include her daughter, Jana O'Connell Dickerson of Natalbany; three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren and a niece. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Amite News-Digest: 11/13/1959 CONNER, SIDNEY S. Sidney S. Conner died at 3 p.m. Saturday at his residence at 520 North Laurel St. in Amite. He was 85 years old and was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors include four nephews, Bolivar E. Kemp Jr. and Stanley E. Davis, both of Amite, W. T. McCay of Houston, Tex., and Percy L. McCay of New Orleans; two nieces, Mrs. Robert S. Ellis, Jr. of Amite and Mrs. John Page of Austin, Tex. Services were from McKneely Funeral Home Sunday with the Rev. Walter Swetman conducting religious services at the Amite Presbyterian Church.
