Native of Baton Rouge and resident of Fluker, Louisiana. Michelle held many things close to her heart such as family, friends, and the memories she made while spending time with them. She was a beloved daughter to Dr. John and Helen Colomb Cooper. She was not only a sister, but a trusted best friend to her siblings who knew they could always count on her. She was the ultimate sister-in-law and her nieces and nephews will always have a special place in their heart for their Aunt "Shelly". Michelle never met a stranger; to know her was to like her. She could always make a long story great, but was willing and able to listen to those who needed advice and guidance. Anyone could go to Michelle if they needed a voice of reason. She had a selfless heart that would give anything she could for another. She was passionate about many things in her life and she never seemed to stop moving. Michelle's pride and joy were her 100+ acres, her cattle, and all of her rescued animals. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid LSU football fan and season ticket holder. She was a graduate of LSU and had a career at Dupont for 22 years. She loved her job and her co-workers. Michelle could make everyone in the room laugh. Her siblings tease her about being clumsy, but she could even laugh at herself. The best way to describe Michelle was "ONE OF A KIND"! She is survived by her parents, Dr. John Kay and Helen Colomb Cooper; sisters, Renee Cooper Latulippe and husband Denis, and Karin Cooper Lee and husband Kenneth; brothers John Kay Cooper II and wife Jean Ann, and Chad Cullen Cooper; nieces Kortney Kay Lee, Paige Alexandra Cooper, and Anna Claire Cooper; nephews Kenneth Wayne Lee, Jr., and Denis Mark Latulippe II; her business partner and friend, Kim Auglair; and godparents, Dr. Willie and Peggy Buhler. She was preceded in death by her grandparents J.B. Colomb and Helena Jarreau Colomb; grandparents, George Kay Cooper and Henrietta Deisch Cooper; and her aunt, JoAnn Colomb Selig.
