CORBETT, JOSEPH PAUL, SR.
Joseph Paul Corbett, Sr., 78 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed 
away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on 
Sunday, June 2, 1935, in Pitcher, Oklahoma, son of the late William and 
Carroll Parsons Corbett. Mr. Corbett was a member of the Ponchatoula Lions 
Club, an advisory board member for the Louisiana Lions League for Crippled 
Children's Camp and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award in Lionism. He 
was also a retired Crane Operator. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, 
Joyce Parent Corbett; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, William "Byrd" & Debbie 
Scalisi Corbett and Joseph Paul, Jr. & Amy Stewart Corbett; 5 grandchildren 
and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 2 
sisters. Friends will be received Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:00 pm 
until 10:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula.
Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 
Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill 
Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Contributions may be made to the 
Louisiana Lions League for Crippled Children's Camp in Leesville, LA. An
