She was the wife of the late Frank Corriere and the daughter of the late George F. Wild and Mamie M. Wild of Ponchatoula and Madisonville, Louisiana. Irma is survived by her son, Frank Corriere, Jr., daughter-in-law, Kay S. Corriere, and grandson Frank Corriere III (Bourg) who was never forgotten. She is also preceded in death by her grandparents Casper and Evalina Wild and her siblings Inez Louise Wild Eaves of Ponchatoula and Charles George "Rusty" Wild of Madisonville. She is survived by her nieces, Beverly Jean Eaves Teel of Ponchatoula, Debbie Eaves Trimm of Memphis, TN, Dawn Wild Moran of Mandeville, Fran Wild Pechon of Madisonville, LA and nine great nieces/nephews and six great great nieces and nephews. Irma was baptized at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ponchatoula, LA and later graduated from St. Scholastica girls school in Covington, LA. She was a long time active parishioner of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Metairie, LA, where she lived from 1948-2000. Irma retired from Maison Blanche with over 20 years of service where she held several different department managerial positions. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, enjoying pets of all kinds, and bird watching. She loved cooking the New Orleans favorites of Red Beans and Rice, Italian Meatballs and Spaghetti, Gumbo, and Jambalaya. She never hesitated in sharing her techniques with family and friends. She will be remembered for taking GODS simple gifts, wrapping them in joy, and sharing them with others. Visitation will be at Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home of 171 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA from 6:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2006. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 330 West Pine ST, Ponchatoula, LA, at 10:00 AM with a pre-mass viewing from 9:00-10:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at The Wetmore Cemetery, Highway 22 west of Hammond, LA immediately after Mass. At a later date a Memorial Mass will be held for family and friends at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny, IA. *************************************************************************
