CORY, CLARA RUTLAND 
A resident of Roseland, she died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at
Belle Maison Nursing Home in Ponchatoula. She was 56 and a native of
Arcola. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 2 p.m. until
religious services at 4 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Glynn Fendlason.
Interment in Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola. Survived by her husband,
Dick Cory, Arcola; and two sons, Bryan Cory, Arcola, and Christopher Cory,
Lafayette. Preceded in death by her parents, James A. "Jim" Rutland and
Georga B. Rutland; and a brother, Charles Rutland.

CORY, RONNIE DICK 
Roseland - Ronnie Dick Cory, 66, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at Veterans
Administration Medical Center, New Orleans. He was a native of Loranger, a
salesman and a U.S. Marine veteran having served the U.S. Embassy in
Pakistan. He is survived by two sons, Bryan Cory of Arcola and Christopher
Cory of Atlanta; one sister, Ellen Cory Davis of Zillah, Wash.; and three
brothers, Walter E. Cory of Gonzales, William "Bill" Cory of Tickfaw and
Robert Cory of Zillah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Nell
Rutland Cory; and his parents, Edward and Blanche Statham Cory. Visitation
will be Wednesday at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 2 p.m. until the
funeral at 3. Burial will be in Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola.

CORY, VERNA MORRIS HOOVER 
A resident of Ponchatoula, she died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at North Oaks
Medical Center, Hammond. She was 93 and a native of Tangipahoa Parish.
Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Monday. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until
religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Charles Bigner.
Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Survived by three sisters, Margie
Ballard, Loney Bell Findley and Shirley Grantham, all of Ponchatoula; and
numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, Walter
Hoover; her second husband, Ed Cory; two sisters, Audrey Favret and Wilva
Clarke; three brothers, James Morris, Ezell Morris and Ralph Morris; and
her parents, William and Marguerite Wall Morris.
