Religious services followed at the Church of the Incarnation in Amite. Interment was in Amite cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Stephen Douglas Richardson and Rebecca Anne Kemp Richardson, and had been a resident of Tangipahoa parish since childhood. She was a cousin of the late Congressman Bolivar E. Kemp. She served as postmistress at Independence for more than 25 years. She is survived by her husband, J. A. Cothran; one sister, Mrs. Stella Schwem, New Orleans; three nieces, Mrs. Paul D. McCraney of Roseland, Mrs. John Jackson of Monroe, and Mrs. Mildred Beaver of Wichita, Kans.; two nephews, Robert Schwem of Biloxi, Miss. and Garland Schwem of New Orleans. ***************************************************************************
