She passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 92, a resident of Gonzales, a native of Fairy, Texas, and a former resident of Hammond. Her prime focus earlier in life was serving her church. She especially enjoyed working with the youth at Woodland Park Baptist Church in Hammond. She later was a supervisor at West Brothers Department Store and enjoyed her participation in the Greater Gonzales Area Business and Professional Club, where she served in numerous official positions and was later named Woman of the Year. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, quilting, playing dominos with her domino gang, living on a farm and raising cattle with her husband and of course, spoiling her granddaughters, Tiffani and Gizell.
