CROSBY, BILLY LEVI
Billy Levi Crosby , 74 years old of Independence, LA, died April 16, 2011, 
at North Oaks Medical Center.  He was born on June 19, 1936, in Jones 
County, Mississippi son of the late Vernice and Cassie Mae Keen Crosby.
Billy came from Mississippi and married Mary Moltelabano. He loved his 
family and his dog Toby and family get togethers. Along with being an avid 
outdoorsman he enjoyed coaching and watching baseball. Billy was the best 
husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend anyone could ask for. He 
had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew him.  Surviving are his 
wife, Mary Crosby, son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Terri Crosby, daughter & 
son-in-law, Cindy Crosby & Tommy Givens, brother & sister-in-law, Kellon & 
Geraldine Crosby, granddaughter and husband, Tammy & Brian Baker, grand-
daughter, Mandy Crosby, granddaughter and husband, Tricia & Craig 
DeMarche, grandson, Trent & Brittany Anthony, granddaughter and husband, 
Jaime & Travis Runnels, granddaughter and husband, Cassie & E.J. Ridgel, 
granddaughter, Traci Smith, granddaughter and husband, Brandy & Bobby 
Miller, grandchild, Kristina Givens, grandchild, Kaylee Crosby and 12 
great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by brother, John Crosby & 3 
sisters Betty Jean Ellis, Myrtie Lou Clark & Dorothy Blackwell.  Friends 
will be received Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on 
Monday, April 18, 2011 from 8:00 am until 10:30 a.m. at Harry McKneely & 
Son Funeral Home.  Services will be held at Mater Dolorosa Catholic 
Church, Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11:00 am, with Fr. Howard Adkins 
officiating.  Interment will follow in the Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum

CROSBY, CAROL GEHEGAN
Carol Gehegan Crosby, 62, a resident of Hammond and a native of Ponchatoula, 
died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at her home. Carol was born June 5, 1948, in 
Independence, daughter of the late Otis Gehegan and the late Maxine Harrell 
Gehegan. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and Charles Easley; 
son, Bobby Clint Crosby; and granddaughter, Sarah Easley. She was preceded 
in death by her husband, Bobby Crosby; and brother, Wayne Gehegan. Friends 
will be received Thursday, Dec. 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Harry McKneely & 
Son Funeral Home, Hammond. Services will be held at the funeral home chapel
Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery

CROSBY, MANDY R.
Age 34, a resident of Ponchatoula, Mandy passed away on Friday, September 
16, 2011 at her residence. Mandy was a Pharmacy Technician at Pete's 
Pharmacy in Independence and a member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.
Mandy leaves behind her mother and step-father, Kathy and James Barnett of 
Ponchatoula and father and step-mother, Gary and Terri Crosby of 
Independence; grandparents, Nelda and Charles Billingsley and Mary Crosby; 
a daughter, Taylor Cyprian of Ponchatoula; sisters, Traci Crosby Smith, 
Chelsea Barnett both of Ponchatoula and Kaylee Crosby of Independence; 
step-sisters, Tammy Anthony Baker and Tricia DeMarche; step-brother, Trent 
Anthony.  Preceding Mandy in death was her grandfather, Billie Crosby.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation 
from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, on 
Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again on Monday 
at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 
The funeral service will be held at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church at 
11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Howard Adkins. Interment will follow in 
Sandhill Cemetery in Ponchatoula.  Condolences and other information are
