A retired employee with Exxon Research and Development Laboratory with 49 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Friday, April 30, 1999. He was 89 and a native of Kentwood. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at St. James Episcopal Church, 2 p.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Monday. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Rebecca Brown Varner, Watson, Mildred Floyd Guynes, Georgetown, Texas, Virginia Floyd Wilson and Milton D. Croswell III, both of Baton Rouge; and a sister- in-law, Juanita McGuire Croswell, Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by wife of 68 years, Kate Brown Croswell; parents, Milton and Lillie Baham Croswell; two sisters, Georgia Croswell Floyd and Hazel Croswell Cromholt; and three brothers, Louis M. Croswell, Althos M. Croswell and Milton D. Croswell Jr. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the last charter member of Central Church of Christ.
