A retired self-employed brick mason and a resident of Central, he died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 77 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Blackwater United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Linda Hagan. Interment in the church cemetery. He is survived by a daughter, Melbar Courtney, Central; four sons and daughters-in-law, Curt and Mary Crumholt, Garfield, N.J., Gary and Cindy Crumholt, Port Vincent, Paul and Joan Crumholt and Dwayne and Beth Crumholt, all of Central; sister, Doris Lee, Amite; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; special family friend, Joyce Wade; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Crumholt; two brothers, Talmadge Crumholt Jr. and Louis Robert Crumholt; sister, Elsie Kleinpeter; and parents, Talmadge E. Sr. and Willie Gurney Crumholt. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and extended family members. He was a lifetime member of Blackwater United Methodist Church.
