John Cryer, 74, Amite, died Oct. 13; funeral 11 a.m., Saturday, Angelic 
Funeral Home, Roseland; interment at Community Cemetery, Fluker.

CRYER, LIZZIE 
Lizzie Cryer, 84, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at North Oaks Medical
Center, Hammond. She was a native of Franklinton. She is survived by two
daughters, Myra Ard of Hammond, and Evelyn James of New Orleans; two sons,
John Burris and Saul Cryer Jr., both of Hammond; one sister, Lillie
Williams of Hammond; two brothers, J.L. and Willie Earl Burris, both of
Folsom; and 24 grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at First Bethel
Independent Methodist Church at 8 p.m. Dismissal will be Saturday at 
11 a.m. Burial will be in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Ham-mond. N.A. James
Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

CRYER, MACK, JR.
A native of Independence and resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on 
Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013. He was 44 and a Automobile Painter. Visiting at 
Carney and Mackey Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 22 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. 
Religious service at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 
10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Stanley Plain. Interment in Winnfield Memorial 
Park. He is survived by his fiance, Nesia Williams; daughters, Tiquencia, 
Roche and Armani Cryer, Takara Brown and Brianna Booze; sons, Johntrell 
Williams, and Lacori Brown all of Baton Rouge; sisters, Shannonne Cryer, 
Charlotte (Cyrus) Roddy, Tessie Anderson, Cassandra Faure (Andre Whitfield) 
all of Baton Rouge, Vickie (Roger) Burks and Reagan (Lamont) English of 
Hammond; brothers, Jerry Cryer of Baton Rouge, Shawn Lewis, Mack Tracy 
Lewis, Tyrone Lewis and Michael Kinchen all of Independence; aunts and two 
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Cryer Faure 
and Mack Cryer, Sr.; brother, Boyd Charles Faure; two aunts and two uncles. 
Arrangements with Carney and Mackey Funeral Home.
