"CHUCK" Charles L. Cumpston died at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at his home in Amite. He was 75 and a native of Waynesburg, Pa. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Visitation at Cornerstone Church, Amite, on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Sam Leto. Interment in Amite Memorial Gardens, Amite. He is survived by his wife, Marie Michelli Cumpston, Amite; three daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Mike Murphy, Amite, Sandra Passman, Greensburg, and Brenda Limerick, Greenville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Michael Charles Passman, Brad Ardillo, Jolene Murphy, Brandi Rascoe and Lisa Passman Bankston; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Cumpston, Kennedy Township, Pa., and Wayne Cumpston, San Bernardino County, Calif.; and three sisters, Louise Morris, Washington, Pa., and Margaret Wilson and Anna Mae Whitehill, both of Waynesburg, Pa. She was 77, born May 6, 1934, in New Orleans. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, Friday, June 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite, Saturday, June 4, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Joe Camilleri. Interment in Amite Memorial Gardens, Amite. Survived by three daughters, Diane Murphy and her husband, Mike, and Sandra Passman, all of Amite, and Brenda Limerick, Greenville, N.C.; a sister, Sarah Mandella, Independence; four grandchildren, Michael Charles Passman, Jolene Murphy, Brandi Ardillo, and Lisa Passman Pardue; and 10 great- grandchildren.
