But it was only a step into another room, not a stepping out of fellowship of life. In Godıs own way and for His own purpose, He reached down into our midst and called the spirit of our beloved Sis. Alzina Marie Cyprian-Dunn home. Alzina, known to many as "Zina" was born on December 1, 1959, to the union of Theodore Cyprian, Sr. and the late Golder Booker-Cyprian, in Independence, LA. On Wednesday, November 25, 2009, she departed this life at Ochsner Medical Hospital in New Orleans, LA. As a child her parents ensured she knew Jesus Christ by rearing her up in church. Alzina accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her grandfather, the late Rev. Elmore (E.M.) Booker, Sr. She remained a faithful member who loved her Pastor and church family until her health began to fail her. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her personally and professionally. Professionally, Alzina was a licensed cosmetologist. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son ~ David Dunn, Jr. (Ashley) of Hammond, LA., her Father ~ Theodore Cyprian, Sr., of Hammond, LA., five grandchildren ~ Ryan Dunn, Thai Dunn, Kayla Dunn, Trey Dunn, and Jordan Johnson of Hammond, LA., nine sisters ~ Betty C. Sims (David), Glenda C. Williams (Isaac), Golder C. Weber (Cornell), Mae Ella C. Jones (Robert), and Wenda C. Castro (Mario) all of Hammond, LA., Dorothy L. Cyprian of Lancaster, TX., Marilyn R. Steptoe (Johnny) of Amite, LA., Angie Gaspard (Willie) of Atlanta, GA., and Lois Harris of New Orleans, LA., two brothers ~ Theodore S. Cyprian, Jr. (Gladys) and Stanley Cyprian of Hammond, LA., six aunts, three uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her: Mother ~ Golder Booker-Cyprian, a sister ~ Margaret Cyprian-Henry, two brothers ~ Manley Cyprian and Emmitt Dillon, Grandfathers ~ Rev. Elmore (E.M.)
