A resident and native of Robert, he died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 72. Visitation at Harry Mc-Kneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and in the chapel from 8 a.m. until service at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment in Sand Hill Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Patricia R. Daix, Robert; daughter, Odette Daix Pea, Ponchatoula; two sons, Calvin R. Daix Jr., Robert, and Edwin J. Daix Sr., Magnolia, Miss.; a stepson, William P. Reno, Robert; sister, Odette Daix Bono, St. Rose; brother, Robert "Bobby" Daix Sr., Bush; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Clematine Wald Daix; first wife, Helen Marie Crespo; second wife, Roselynn Tucker; granddaughter, Helen Marie Daix; and a grandson, Donald Anthony Nicolosi. In Harahan, he retired from the Jefferson Parish Water Works and was former owner of Jefferson Truck Salvage. He then moved to Robert and established the "Diamond D Ranch" in 1966 and retired in 1994. *************************************************************************
