She was 86 and a native of Independence. Visiting at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Maringouin, from 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, until religious service at 2 p.m. Entombment in church mausoleum. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Maurice Sigler, Covington; son, Joseph A. D'Amico, Houston; two sisters, Millie Pere', Abbeville, and Josephine Gendron, LaPlace; two brothers, Phillip Catalano, Gonzales, and Sam Catalano, Independence; four grandchildren, Lt. Col. Mark Sigler, Indiana, Michael C. Sigler, Covington, Matthew L. Sigler, Baton Rouge, and Evan M. D'Amico, Arlington, Va.; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent C. D'Amico; parents; daughter-in-law, Carole D'Amico; brothers, Michael and Guy Catalano; and sisters, Josephine Catalano and Katie Barcia. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Altar Society.
