FRANK E., SR. He died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was 82, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Independence. The Rev. Danley was associate pastor at Old Zion Hill Baptist Church, Albany, retired quality control coordinator with the State of Louisiana and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Monday, May 25, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at Old Zion Hill Baptist Church, Albany, on Tuesday, May 26, from noon until religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Joe Wiggins and the Rev. Mitch Williams. Interment in Amite Memorial Gardens, Amite. He is survived by his wife, Elsie McElveen Danley, Independence; two daughters, Carol Ruth Danley Stagg and husband Robert, Eunice, and Molly Gay Danley Travis and husband Brian, Greensburg; son, Frank E. Danley Jr. and wife Pamela Swede Danley, Robert; three sisters, Bula Hudson, Moss Point, Miss., Julia Fay Rushing, Theodore, Ala., and Olive Jean King, Picayune, Miss.; three brothers, George Lee Ewing and James Ewing, both of Irvington, Ala., and William Edward Ewing, Coden, Ala.; eight grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Epps Underwood Danley and Sylvia Wainwright Ewing; and three sisters, Elsie Sprinkles, Loretta Slade and Lily Ruth Sprinkles.
