DANTONE, CHRISTINE 
Christine Dantone, 93, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at her home. She was a
native of Hammond, owner of Renee's Dress Shop, a member of Holy Ghost
Catholic Church and the first woman juror to serve in Tangipahoa Parish.
She is survived by three sisters, Rose Stassi and Mary Locascio, both of
Hammond, and Ann Biundo of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Joseph and Mary Serio Dantone; four brothers, Joseph, Mitchell,
Sam and Vincent Dantone; and one sister, Sarah Hughey. Visitation will be
today at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 p.m. and
Wednesday from 8 until 9:45 a.m. The funeral will be at 10 at Holy Ghost
Catholic Church, Hammond. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to the North Oaks Hospice.
