DANTZLER, EDNA DRAKE PINES 
Albany - Edna "Sissy" Drake Pines Dantzler, 49, died Wednesday, June 25,
2003, at North Oaks Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, John
Jones of Albany; three daughters, Sharon Dantzler of Albany, Lakeshia Pines
of Hammond and Tanya Dantzler of Ponchatoula; two sisters, Rose Hewitt of
Albany and Helen Sibley of Hammond; three brothers, Gaylon Drake, Alton
Drake Jr. and Cleveland Barnes, all of Albany; and nine grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Alton Drake; her husband,
Jimmie Lee Pines; and a sister, Nettie Gilmore. The funeral will be held at
8 p.m. Monday at Sweet Home Baptist Church, with dismissal Tuesday at noon.
The Rev. Jeremaine Brumfield will conduct the service. Burial will be in
Greenlawn Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

DANTZLER, EZEKIEL 
Ezekiel "Happy Jack" Dantzler, 53, died Sunday, June 15, 2003. He was a
native of Bogalusa. Survivors include six daughters, Jewell Rheams of
Independence, Verilla Jones of New Orleans, Alice Dantzler, Heather Livers
and Hycie Vono, all of Hammond, and Shalita Dantzler of Kenner; one son,
Jack Dantzler of Hammond; one sister, Elvelina Bell of Ponchatoula; and one
brother, Jeremiah Dantzler of Bogalusa. Visitation will be Saturday at
Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Albany, from 10 a.m. until the Rev. Andrew
Jackson conducts the funeral at 11. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs, is in charge.

DANTZLER, OBIE JR. 
Obie Dantzler Jr., 62, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at North Oaks Medical
Center, Hammond. He is survived by his wife, Mamie Johnson Dantzler of
Springfield; his mother, Fannie Dantzler of Albany; five daughters,
Patricia Fletcher, Janice Moore and Lisa Fox, all of Springfield, and
Darlene Johnson and Doris Coe, both of Picayune, Miss.; three sons, Obie
James Dantzler and Arthur Dantzler, both of Springfield, and Demetrius
Dantzler of Baton Rouge; five brothers, Joseph Dantzler of Independence,
Oscar, Donald, Jerry and Shelton Dantzler, all of Albany; 24 grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Obie
Dantzler Sr.; four sisters, Ella Berry, Shirley Coleman, Gertrude Jones and
Bobby Norman; and two brothers, Paul and David Dantzler. Visitation will be
Wednesday at Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Woodhaven, from noon until the
Rev. Andrew Jackson conducts the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the
church cemetery. MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs, is in
charge.

DANTZLER, SHELTON
Shelton Dantzler was born April 3, 1945 and passed away at his home on June 
13, 2012. He was a Logger for more than 50 years and a member of the 
Independence Soul Riders Horse Club.  He leaves to cherish his memory: his 
devoted wife, Margaret of 47 years, three daughters, Betty (Joseph); 
Amanda; Sheronda (Jerald) all of Woodhaven; four brothers; Joseph, Jerry 
(Minnie), Oscar (Barbara) and Donald (Demetrice); six grandchildren and six 
great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and 
Fannie Dantzler,; six sisters and three brothers. Religious service, 
Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m., Mount Bethel Church, Rev. Andrew Jackson, 
officiating; interment in Holly Gardens, MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home 
in charge.
