He was a 1981 graduate of Ponchatoula High School and a parishioner of St. Margaret Catholic Church. He was a teacher and coach at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School from 1999 - 2007, having coached football, baseball, golf and softball. MikeĠs extensive military career gave him the opportunity to spend time in many different regions, including Alaska, Missouri and Korea, as well as, Hawaii, where he resided for the past two years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1986-1994, and was a member of the Hawaii Air National Guard at the time of his death. Mike had recently been promoted to Senior Master Sergeant.
