He was a member of St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville. He is survived by his wife, Eugenie Vandrell Daussat; three daughters, Juanita D. Pearson, Linda D. Broussard and Dianne D. Grasier; two sons, Arthur and Rick Daussat; nine grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Athos A. and Theresa Schwenden Daussat; one sister, Leonise Munstereifel and one great- grandchild. The Rev. Alan Weseman will conduct a memorial Mass Wednesday at St. Anselm Catholic Church, Madisonville, at 2 p.m. Private burial will follow at the Theodore Dendinger Memorial Cemetery, Madisonville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Anselm Building Fund, P.O. Box 40, Madisonville 70447. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 2/11/2003 DAUSSAT, DORA SUE BLACKWELL Franklinton - Dora Sue Blackwell Daussat, 81, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Riverside Medical Center. She was a retired licensed practical nurse from Charity Hospital in New Orleans and a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Metairie. She is survived by her children, Doris Shettles Lockerby of Amite, John Shettles of Hammond, Marvin Shettles and Edward and Dennis Daussat, all of Metairie; one stepdaughter, Bonnie Daussat Shettles of Hammond; two sisters, Julie Bye of Denham Springs and Mickey Zimmerman of Port Allen; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great- great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashton Daussat. Visitation will be today at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Bill Blank conducts the funeral at 10. Entombment will follow at Lakelawn Cemetery, Metairie, at 12:45 p.m. ***************************************************************************
