She was born Jan. 20, 1913, in New Orleans and was 98 years of age. She was a retired high school English teacher for Amite High School, an active member of the Episcopal Church where she played the organ for many years and a former board member of the Arcola-Roseland Cemetery Association. Visitation at Church of the Incarnation - Episcopal, Amite, on Monday, Nov. 14, from 11 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Interment in Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Roseland. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Ivy Smith and her husband, James, of Hammond. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Davoll; parents, Ivy and Janet Hendry; and sister, Laura Hendry Brantley. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge of arrangements.
