She was born on October 1, 1927, in Magnolia, Mississippi, daughter of the late Ellery and Callie Booty Brown. Surviving are her sons & daughters-in-law, Tommie and Sandra Badon, Louie and Sherry Badon, Tommy Gene and Susan Dechara, daughters & sons-in-law, Joyce and Lynn Meserole, Billie and Charlie Rodriguez, Tammy Dechara and Michael Miceli, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- granddaughter. She is preceded in death by husband, Tom Vincent Dechara, grandson, James Allen Sims, and 10 brothers and sisters. Friends will be received on Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond.
