DECHARA, MARGARET BROWN
Mrs. Margaret Brown Dechara, 82 years old of Hammond, died August 17, 2010, 
in Landmark Nursing Center.  She was born on October 1, 1927, in Magnolia, 
Mississippi, daughter of the late Ellery and Callie Booty Brown.  Surviving 
are her sons & daughters-in-law, Tommie and Sandra Badon, Louie and Sherry 
Badon, Tommy Gene and Susan Dechara, daughters & sons-in-law, Joyce and 
Lynn Meserole, Billie and Charlie Rodriguez, Tammy Dechara and Michael 
Miceli, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- 
granddaughter.  She is preceded in death by husband, Tom Vincent Dechara, 
grandson, James Allen Sims, and 10 brothers and sisters.  Friends will be 
received on Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at 
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.  Services will be held in 
the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 2:00 p.m.  
Interment will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond.  An

DECHARA, TOM VINCENT 
A resident and native of Independence, he died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at
his home. He was 84. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home
chapel, Hammond, from 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, until religious service at 
2 p.m. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Garden. Survived by his wife,
Margaret Brown Dechara, Independence; three sons, Tommie Badon,
Independence, Tommy Dechara, Slidell, and Louie Badon, Ponchatoula; three
daughters, Tammy Miceli, Billie Rodriguez and Joyce Meserole, all of
Independence; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in
death by his parents, Eugene and Mamie Compaugnia Dechara; grandson, James
Allen Sims; brother, Charles Dechara; and eight sisters, Josephine, Sarah,
Rosie and Janie Rodriguez, Ida Dechara, Frances Reed, Philippine Lampasi
and Annie Pravata.
