DEEMER-CARTER, MARY LEE
Retired Tangipahoa Parish teacher and community leader, Mary Lee Deemer-
Carter, 76, died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at her home. Mrs. Carter leaves 
four children to cherish her memory, attorney Gideon Tillman Carter III of 
Baton Rouge; Gwendolyn Renee Carter and Dr. Gemetri Evette Carter, both of 
Ponchatoula; and Genor Evan Carter of Aurora, Colorado; two daughters-in-
law; five grandchildren; three nieces; five nephews; and a host of other 
relatives and friends.  Survivors celebrated her life at a funeral at First 
True Love World Outreach Ministries, Ponchatoula, last Thursday, followed 
by dismissal last Friday, June 16, 2006.  MJR Friendly service Funeral 
Home, Denham Springs, was in charge.
