DEFFENDALL, ROBERT BRYCE
Mr. Robert Bryce Deffendall, 81-years-old of Ponchatoula, died Thursday,
August 24, 2006, in North Oaks Medical Center.  Born Sunday, November 9,
1924, in Indianapolis, Indiana, son of the late Denver and Dorothy Lentz
Deffendall, and brother to the late Richard Deffendall.  Mr. Deffendall was
a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He retired from Bank One in 1989
culminating a 40 year banking career. As an elder, he served in the
Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Metairie. He enjoyed square dancing for
36 years, and was a loving husband, wonderful father and will be greatly
missed.  Surviving are his wife, Thera Teel Deffendall and four daughters,
Connie Hansen, Lesa Thomas, Donna Jacob, Ingrid Mullen; son, Kenneth
Deffendall; 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  Friends will
be received Monday, August 28, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home
in Ponchatoula from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. in
the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow in the Garden Of Memories,

DEFFENDALL, THERA TEEL
Mrs. Thera Teel Deffendall, 78 years old of Ponchatoula, died Sunday, May 
17, 2009, in Belle Maison Nursing Home.  She was born on Wednesday, 
September 17, 1930, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, daughter of the late Walter 
and Corrine Hoover Teel.  Mrs. Deffendall retired from the Southern 
Baptist Hospital after culminating a 35 year career as a Registered 
Surgical Nurse. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in 
Metairie. She also enjoyed square dancing for 36 years, and was a loving 
wife, wonderful mother and will be greatly missed.  Surviving are her 4 
daughters, Connie Hansen, Lesa Thomas, Donna Jacob, Ingrid Mullen; son, 
Kenneth Deffendall; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sister, 
Carrie Bankston; 2 brothers, Walter Ola Teel and Thaddis Paul Teel.  She 
is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph George Hauck Jr.; second 
husband, Robert B. Deffendall; and infant twin daughters, JoAnn and Thera 
Hauck.  Friends will be received Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Harry McKneely 
& Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins 
at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow in the
