Susie leaves behind her husband, Ralph Degenhardt; five children, Jannine Ballard, Wayne Ballard, Jr. and wife Roxanne, Dawn Ballard, Frank Degenhardt and wife Dawn, Amanda Degenhardt, along with eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers, Leonard, Shelby, Mitchell and Gary Ballard; a sister, Iris Prine, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Susie in death were her son, Jason Degenhardt; grandchildren, Jaime Shurley and Caleb Degenhardt; sister, Maxine Howell; parents, Delvin and Virginia Sibley Ballard. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond on Sunday, July 4, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The visitation will resume on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until the religious service at 10:00 a.m. Rev.
