DELANEY, LAURENCE IRWIN 
Owner and operator of a janitorial service and a resident of Hammond, he
died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He
was 75 and a native of Simmesport. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War
II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired as a Sergeant First
Class and was awarded the Purple Heart. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Hammond, after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at 9 a.m.
Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Coverdale, O.P., followed by prayer services
in the chapel at 10 a.m. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery.
Survived by three brothers, Louis "Jay" Delaney, Hammond, Johnny Delaney,
Baton Rouge, and Samuel Delaney, Jeanerette; a son, Dennis Delaney, Walker;
three granddaughters; and a great-grandson. Preceded in death by his wife,
Wilma Delaney; a sister, Rose Delaney; two brothers, Jack and Joe Delaney;
and his parents, Charles and Lillian Lazarone Delaney.

DELANEY, ROSE MARY 
A retired supervisor with Morrison Food Services, having served as
assistant to the vice president, she died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at
Landmark Living Center, Hammond. She was 89, a resident of Hammond and a
native of New Orleans. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home,
Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday.
Religious services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday.
Interment in Rose Memorial Cemetery. Survived by four brothers, Sam
Delaney, Jeanerette, Johnny Delaney, Baton Rouge, and J.T. Delaney and
Lawrence Delaney, both of Hammond; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in
death by her parents, Charles and Lillie Lazarone Delaney; and two
brothers, Joseph and Jack Delaney.
