DeLATTRE, LAWRENCE FREEMAN
Lawrence Freeman DeLattre, 69, entered Heavenšs Gates on Friday, June 12, 
2009, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, due to complications 
from heart surgery. He was born in Danville, Ill., lived on the West Bank 
of New Orleans over 30 years and Ponchatoula 12 ¸ years. Larry worked as a 
meat cutter at A&P for 26 years - retiring as market manager of the Royal 
Street A&P.  Larry was the son of Frank DeLattre and Bessie Hazelbaker; 
brother of Frank DeLattre and Lillie Sherburne; husband of 45 years to 
Janice Umbach DeLattre; father of Lydia DeLattre Medina, Frank, Darren and 
David DeLattre; grandfather of Anthony Medina, Robert Alexander Graves, 
Desiree , Chase, Ashley, and Alyssa De Lattre, Paige Farnsworth and 
Brennan Meetze; father-in-law of Katrina P. DeLattre, Kelly M. DeLattre 
and Tiffany Meetze.  The family will receive guests on Monday, June 15, 
2009, at the Harry McKneely Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, from Noon until 
the 2 p.m. chapel service with Rev. Mark Lubbock and Rev.Stanley Day 
officiating.  Donations may be made to Leešs Landing UMC in his memory in
