Donald J. "Skipper" Denoux, 87, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005. A native and resident of Norco for 71 years, he lived in Hammond for 14 years. He was a Navy World War II veteran of the Pacific Theater, a past member of VFW Post 195, Norco, Knights of Columbus 3634, Norco, NCHA, Pete Fountain's Half-Fast Marching Club, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and the Krewe of Omega. Survivors include his second wife, Dorothy Lauman Denoux; his children, Dottie D. Catoire, Kathryn D. Boucvalt, Susan D. Messer, Donald M. Denoux and Michael T. Denoux; two brothers, Raymond A. Denoux Jr. and Elodie D. Vanderlinden; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Dorothy Lucas Denoux; his parents, Raymond A. Denoux Sr. and Christina Dimm Denoux; his siblings, Raymond A. Denoux Jr., Leslie D. Guidry, Dorothy D. Juneau and Bernice D. Lukes; and one infant grandchild. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 4th Street, Norco, and Monday from 8 to 9:45 a.m. A Mass will be at 10 at Sacred Heart in Norco. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Kenner. ***************************************************************************
