He was born Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1929, in New Orleans. He was retired from American Standard, Whole Foods and Breaux Mart. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4874. Mr. DiCarlo served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Mary Theresa DiCarlo; two daughters, Lucy DiCarlo and Frances Drell; three sons, Dominick DiCarlo Jr., Louis DiCarlo and Michael DiCarlo; sister, Celina Calderone; brother, Vincent DiCarlo; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Lucia Reina DiCarlo. Friends will be received Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula, from 10 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment in Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum, Hammond.
