He passed away at 1:33 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004 at Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite as a result of cystic fibrosis. He was a native of Hammond and a resident of Kentwood. He was 26. Visitation at First Baptist Church, Kentwood, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday. Visiting at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Keith Rhodus and the Rev. Iran Smith. Interment in Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa. Survived by his mother, Sue Minor, New Hope, Ala., and her fiancé, Kenny Tucker; stepfather, David Minor, Kentwood; brother and sister-in-law, C.J. and Tammy Williams, Roseland; sister and brother-in-law, Shelley and Randy Handley, Hammond; grand- parents, Ruby and Aubrey Stokes, Kentwood; extended family, Virginia and Henry McKenzie, Kentwood, Lisa and Stephen Achord, Kentwood, Laura and Jody DeBlance, Gillsburg, Miss., Faye Price, Kentwood; numerous nieces and nephews including special niece, Teva; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Jessie Didone and Carl and Myrtis Holden. He was a member of Kentwood Lions Club. He attended First Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher and youth counselor. He was also a counselor for the Louisiana Lions Club Respiratory Camp in Leesville. Special thanks to Dr. Carlton Faller, Kentwood Volunteer Fire Dept. paramedics, Acadian Ambulance, the staff of Hood Memoral Hospital and North Oaks Medical Center, and a special thanks to Lisa Achord for a lot of years of wonderful care. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
