Peter J. Dileo, age 62, passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008. He was a native of Independence, a resident of Hammond for 30 years, and a registered pharmacist at Walgreen's drug store. Survivors include his children: son, Carlo "Jay" Dileo, of New Orleans, and daughter, Andrea C. Dileo of Austin, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Larry Nelson, of Mississippi; nephews, Brad Nelson, of New Orleans, and Mark Nelson, of Baton Rouge; a niece, Megan Nelson, of New Orleans; and a great-niece, Morgan Bradburry, of New Orleans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlo and Angie Dileo, who were of Independence. Visitation will be at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond on Wednesday, Dec. 17, after 10 a.m. until the religious service at noon. Entombment will follow in Colonial Mausoleum in Independence.
