He was 40 and a native of Independence. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until religious service at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. O.L. Bradford. Interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Clinton. Survived by father and mother, Melvin Jerome Dillard and Mae Ola Wright; two daughters, LaShawnda Triplett and Tequicha Smothers; a son, Kevin Jerome Gilyard (Drexual "Bo" Jr.); a sister, Kimberlin Wright Carter; a brother-in-law, Edward Carter; and a grandchild, Malik Triplett. Preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Meyers; a brother, Ronnie Dillard; maternal grandparents, Willie Wright Sr. and Annie Wright; two uncles, Willie Wright Jr. and Jessie Wright; and two aunts, Gladys Brown and Clematine Robins.
