She was a native of Doyle and lived in Hammond most of her working life before moving to Altadena, Calif. She is survived by one daughter, Cora L. Burns-Forcell of Altadena; two sons, Jessie L. Burns of Renton, Wash., and Amos J. Burns of Montebello, Calif.; a stepson, James R. Burns Jr. of Hammond; two brothers, George E. Dixon of Kent, Wash., and Amos Dixon Jr. of Yucca Valley, Calif.; and two sisters, Ammie A. Dixon- Anderson and Cassie L. Dixon-Brown, both of Altadena. She was preceded in death by her mother, Albertha Taylor-Dixon; her husband, James R. Burns Sr.; her father, Amos Dixon Sr. and her daughter, Roslyn Burns. Visitation will be at Forest Lawn Covina, Covina, Calif., today from 5 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 10:30. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Covina. ***************************************************************************
