He was a PVT in the Army during World War II, having been a recipient of the American Theater Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and a World War II Victory Medal. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Sasso Domiano; 5 sons with the late Louise Domiano, Phillip, Paul, Ronney, Carlos, and Greg Domiano; a daughter, Gladys Domiano, 22 grandchildren, and 20 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Diliberto and Virginia Wilson Barcia; two brothers, Joseph Domiano and Phillip Domiano Jr. His was a member of Carpenter's Local Union 1098.
