He was a native of Ponchatoula, a carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marilynn McDonald Donaldson; daughter, Colleen Ann Donaldson; son, Cory Patrick Donaldson; sister, Deborah Donaldson Couget, Fort Collins, Colo.; two brothers, Don Paul Donaldson, Jefferson and Albert Dale Donaldson, New Orleans. His parents, Joseph Paul Donaldson and Patricia Tillotson Donaldson, preceded him in death. The Rev. Mat Taylor will conduct the memorial Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Ponchatoula, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Oaks Hospice, P.O. Box 2668, Hammond 70404. A native of Amite, he was a veteran of the New Orleans Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Curt Donaldson; two daughters, Delia D. Doty and Evelyn D. Busby; one son, Butch Cain; one brother, Proveaux A. Donaldson; one sister, Virginia Sweeney; and three grandchildren. His parents, Proveaux D. Donaldson and Mary White Donaldson; and one sister, Evelyn D. Ellis, preceded him in death. Burial was today at Shiloh Cemetery, Amite.
