The former mail carrier was a native of Tylertown, Miss. and a resident of Kentwood. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Doty of Kentwood; one daughter, Tasha Edwards Tate of Kentwood; one son, Shane Doty of Kentwood; her parents, Jewel Clyde Booty Sr. and Idell Peek Edwards and James Wallace Edwards of Kentwood; two brothers, Jewel Clyde Booty Jr. of Kentwood and Chris Booty of Slaughter; three sisters, Anita Esch of McComb, Miss., Melissa McAndrew of Baton Rouge and Jewel Lynn Booty of Jackson; and one grandchild. Visitation will be Monday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Kentwood from 9 a.m. until religious services conducted by Rev. Jack Nutter begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood.
