She was born July 29, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio and was a 50 year resident of St. Petersburg, Florida. She leaves behind her brother, Norman "Poppy" Carter of Independence; sister, Betty Carpenter and husband Earl of Toledo, OH, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Grover Carter, Vivian Jaquay, James Carter, Arthur Carter, Jr., Gladys June McPherson and Homer Carter; step-daughter, Lillian Douhan; parents, Arthur and Ruth Kneale Carter. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the religious service from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., with visiting hours beginning at 8:30 a.m. Rev. Nathan Furman will officiate the services and interment will follow in Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 31476 Horseshoe Rd.
