"DANNY" A resident of Roseland, he died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at MD Anderson Medical Center, Houston. He was 63 and a native of Dallas. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, and from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by Brother Jim Mauldin. Interment in Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek. Survived by his wife, Jenine Duarte, Roseland; children, David W. Mote, Roseland, Judy M. Varnado and her husband, Mark, Kentwood, Bridgette Duarte-House, Franklin, N.C., and Jeffrey M. Duarte, Van Nuys, Calif.; six grandchildren, Sara, Marcus, Emily, Victoria, Alexander and Madison; parents, Marcus Duarte Sr. and Alicia Duarte; sister, Anna Gomez; and brother, Mark C. Duarte.
