CHARLES CLINTON Died at his residence in Jackson on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at 12:22 p.m. He was 70 and was born in Sunny Hill in Washington Parish. He was the founding pastor of First United Pentecostal Church of Clinton, and the church cemetery east of Clinton on La. 10. He was a minister for more than 39 years. Visiting was at First United Pentecostal Church of Clinton beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. Religious service at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Jerry Jordan, the Rev. H. Dee Wisdom and the Rev. M.K. James officiating. Burial in church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanzie Juanita Hunt Duncan of Jackson; daughters, Kathy D. and husband Donald R. Davis of Centreville, Miss., Pamela D. and husband Alex Johnson of Jackson and Deborah D. and husband Bobby L. Bennett Jr. of Ethel; sons, Charles E. and wife Margie Norris Duncan of Jackson and Timothy W. Duncan of Norwood; two sisters, Mary D. Cutrer of Kentwood and Ann D. Kazer of Walker; three brothers, Daniel Duncan of Tennessee, Wilbur Duncan Jr. of Ethel and David Duncan of Mount Hermon; six grandchildren, Shad Davis of Jackson, Amanda Duncan Sagely of Zachary, Jennifer Duncan Hoyt of Wilson, Michael Paul Carpenter of Jackson, Justin Lane Bennett of Ethel and Tyler Wayne Duncan of Norwood; and great-grandchildren, Chassida Sagely, Shaelyn Sagely and Noe Sagely, all of Zachary, and Nate Hoyt and Jenna Hoyt, both of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber and Florence Alice Hughes Duncan; a brother, Jerry P. Duncan; and a daughter-in-law, Christy P. Duncan. Pallbearers will be Charles E. Duncan, Timothy W. Duncan, Alex Johnson, Donald R. Davis, Bobby L. Bennett Jr., Scott Sagely, Joey Hoyt, Michael P. Carpenter and Shad Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Justin L. Bennett and Tyler W. "To all of my friends and family thank you all for making me a happy woman for 52 years. I leave behind my husband Freddie Duncan Sr. whom I will love until death and leave it in Jehovah's hands. My beautiful daughter Peaches the apple of my eye, my sons Roy Dyson III, Anthony Dyson, Webster, and my baby Freddie Duncan Jr. My mother Gladys Bell, my true friend and confidant, please be there when I get there mama. NEW IBERIA - James "Butch" Walter Duncan Jr., 48, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, in Dimmit County, Texas. He was a native of Little Rock, Ark. He was a U.S. Marine who served with the 1st Division for two years, served in Vietnam and was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, good conduct medal, Vietnamese Service Cross Medal and others. He received an honorable discharge. He is survived by his wife, Becky G.
