Survived by his wife, Helen Catherine Veek "Kay" Dykes, Amite; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Jim Hulsey, Ponchatoula, and Cathy and Richard Reed, Independence; five grandchildren, Jamie Schwarz, Charel Graversen, Travis Hulsey, Ben Reed and Katie Reed; a great-grandson, Connor Schwarz; and two brothers, Younger Jordan Dykes Jr., Maryland, and Emmett Lamar Dykes, Belle Chasse. Preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Dykes and Maxwell Dykes; a sister, Gloria Michael; and parents, Younger Jordan and Pauline Chapman Dykes.
