He was born on March 6, 1923 in Louisville, Mississippi, son of the late Homer and Lula Thompson Eaves. He was a retired Millwright, and a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, and Member of the american Legion Post 109. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Virginia Bonfiglio Eaves; son and daughter-in-law, Rickie and Kathy Hardy Eaves; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Steve Finch; 3 grand- daughters, Crystal Thompson, Jennifer Eaves, and Amanda King; 1 great- granddaughter, Kayley Thompson; 4 sisters, Annie Allen, Victoria Bowels, Sarah Long, Clara Murray; 2 brothers, Aaron and Richard Eaves. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers, Prentiss, Leo, Osley and Howard Eaves. Friends will be received Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and after 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday. She was born on February 27, 1933, in Independence, daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Trapen Bonfiglio, and wife of 51 years to the late Duelle Duncan Eaves. Mrs. Eaves was a member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, and retired employee of the Tangipahoa Parish School Board. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Steve Finch, son and daughter-in-law, Rickie and Kathy Hardy Eaves; grandchildren, Crystal and Michael Thompson, Jennifer Eaves, and Amanda King; great-grandchildren, Kayley Thompson, and Madilyn King; 2 sisters, Tillie Patanella, Antionette Cascio, and 2 brothers, Nace Bonfiglio and Frank Bonfiglio. She is preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Bonfiglio.
